Much has changed for me this year. In the middle of the year I was torn from my routine as the Swedish enterprise GNUF took up contact with GPPA to try to get a foothold in the German poker market. Apparently they had approached a PR agency in Berlin to find out who a foreign company should turn to if they wanted to establish a local poker business and were given the answer: “The best contact is the GPPA and Horst Koch”. Even a short time after the initial contact there was a close liaison. GNUF together with GPPA set up the GNUF Free roll Series, which over a number of months covered all Germany. At the end of the series consisting of dozens of tournaments there was a Super Final in which the five winners of sponsoring contracts to the value of a total of $1.25 million were determined. The winners together with the semi-pro Christian Toboc, the full pro Andreas Krause and me the ex-pro Horst Koch would form the GNUF Germany team. This team would then travel throughout the world taking part in all important poker events.

For me the traveling season had already begun, thanks to a very solid and dependable sponsor and my own tireless efforts for poker in Germany. Since the beginning of September I’ve already been travelling as a member of the GNUF team and can measure myself against the poker giants from all over the world.
