In this year there were a number of changes in regard to my business affairs. A new sponsor, a number of tournament series and a second appearance on SternTV are on the horizon.

 

To begin with I travelled to the city of fortune and calamity in May. Seven GPPA players who had won the trip at a poker tournament accompanied me and spirits were correspondingly high.  It was, of course, a terrific experience for amateur players. Everyone who enjoys playing poker and visits Las Vegas for the first time is thrilled. In the Union Plaza in downtown Las Vegas a World Poker Classic, a high stake tournament, with, believe it or not, a $50,000 buy-in, was supposed to take place. In the end the organizers had to turn it into a show tournament as not enough players had registered. I preferred the smaller tournaments and I was able to cash in a number of times.
