The highlight of the year was without doubt a visit to the Dutch Antilles. All in all I spent five weeks on Aruba, the beauty of it being that I could even organize a three-week long ‘Poker Classic’ tournament. We played all the well-known variations like Texas, Omaha, Seven Card Stud etc.

Amongst the players were not only locals but also people from Europe, Venezuela and Las Vegas. The most successful player was the German Daniel Studer who won a number of tournaments. Only one player can win such a tournament but afterwards everyone was of the opinion that they had never played in such exquisite surroundings. Simply: Poker in Paradise.
